Welcome! I am so happy you are here. This is a place where I share my love for home design, motherhood and mindful living. Offischerly Home is a play on my last name, Fischer but I do truly feel like I am officially home. Not just with the house we live in but also in my role as a wife, mother and homemaker. It has taken many years but after having children and deciding to leave my career behind, I have actually never felt more at peace and I’m here to share my journey with you.
I am married to my highschool crush and we have two beautiful children together, a daughter and a son. They are 16 months apart and are the best of friends. We live in a small town in Pennsylvania and absolutely love it here.
The past few years of becoming a mom for the first time and having to solo parent have been challenging. It can be quite lonely and I found I wasn’t recognizing the person I used to be before becoming a mom. I needed a creative outlet and a place to connect with others who shared my same interests and so OFFISCHERLY HOME was born.
For the past few years, I have been sharing my home online. In 2019, my husband and I bought a 120 year old home in the cutest small town in Pennsylvania. Our home was purchased to flip before we took over and while I loved the modern look to our colonial, we started to miss what could have been. This house must have had so much character and it was all taken away so we have been working to add some of it back and make it our own. Home definitely takes time and 4 years later, we are still finding our style and working room by room to transform our space.
Just a week or two after moving into our home, I found out I was pregnant and 7 months after that, we were blessed with the news of a second little one. Having two babies 16 months apart was scary and difficult but it has truly been the biggest blessing. Now that my oldest is 3, I’m finally starting to feel a little more like myself again. I feel so much joy in motherhood now when I had seemed to be lost in it for so long. It is so refreshing and I have to come to realize what a gift every single day is and how precious even the smallest moments can be.
Coming out of postpartum anxiety and depression has taught me to appreciate life and the little joys in it. Romanticizing my life and focusing on being present and intentional have been my daily goals. I hope to encourage and inspire you to cherish the little moments, find joy in the mundane and create a space that you love.
